Tour Highlights
- Heian Shrine
- Graceful old court life is reflected in the brightly colored shrine with its vermillion pillars and green roof, and in its enchanting inner gardens and ponds.
- Sanju-Sangendo Hall
- A renowned long wooden hall housing all of 1,001 statues of Kannon that date back to the 13th century.
- Kiyomizu Temple *UNESCO World Heritage Site
- A quaint old lane lined with pottery shops leads to the temple. Enjoy a sweeping view of the entire city from its lofty terrace.
Remarks
- During the Jidai Festival on Octorber22, Heian Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced by Chishaku-in Temple. When Jidai Festival is postpaned due to bad weather, the course will change on the day when it is held.
- Pick-up service from Kyoto Hotel Okura and Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, is not available during the Gion Festival (July 17) and the Jidai Festival (October 22) due to traffic restrictions.
- During Gion Festival ( July 14-16 ), drop off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, Hotel Monterey Kyoto ond Nikko Princess Kyoto Hotel is unavailable due to traffiic regulations.
- Connection to Kyoto Night Tour cannot be made due to time.
- Connection to Kyoto Maiko Dinner Tour are made at Rihga Royal Hotel or the Kiyomizu Temple parking lot.
