Uji-bashi Bridge
The Uji-bashi Bridge was repaired in 1996. This bridge is one of the three oldest extant bridge in Japan. It was originally built in 646 by the buddhist priest Dôto of the Gangô-ji Temple in Nara.

Taiho-an
Enjoy an autheutic tea ceremony in the place where Japanese original tea was born.

Byodo-in Temple *UNESCO World Heritage Site
Build in the 11th century, this Buddhist temple is associated with the Fujiwara Clan, an aristocratic family of the Heian Period. The famous Hoodo Hall is used in the design of the Japanese ¥10 coin.
